A Rose for Emily “Title significance” PDF
“A Rose for Emily” as a hidden spiritual title: this woman had gone through from a severe tragedy, and for this, Faulkner pitied her. As an honor, he handed her a rose.
The title of this short story has different meanings. We can see the character of Homer as a Rose. I am clarifying the rose as a dried rose.
The rose also shows closeness. Rose is the symbol of pin-drop silence between the narrator and Miss Emily, and the storyteller keeps Emily’s secrets until her death.
