The longest novel in the series is A Storm of Swords. This novel was so much longer than its paperbacks were divided into two half. The part one was published as Steel and Snow in June 2001 and the second part as Blood and Gold in August 2001. In France, the novel was divided into four parts.

During the happening of separate wedding ceremonies in the House of Stark and the House of Lannister, killings are carried out first on King Robb and Catelyn, then at the Lannister wedding on King Joffrey.

Falling Action:

  • Sansa run away with Petyr Baelish;  Joffrey’s murder causes Tyrion to face the trial; Jaime determines the value when he is restored to the control of the Kings Guard; while traveling with Sandor Clegane Arya gets revenge from few people; Jon Snow leads  the Watch in war, and then Stannis offers to make him King of Winterfell; Samwell plots to have Jon Snow made Lord Commander of the Watch; Davos defies Stannis by sending away Edric Storm; Daenerys should decide what to do with Ser Jorah and SerBarristan after knowing of their dishonesty.
